Your role
The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is committed to delivering better outcomes for the people and communities of New South Wales. We are seeking an accomplished and strategic executive leader to drive enterprise-wide strategy, risk management, governance and compliance functions across one of the State’s largest and most complex government departments.
As Director, Enterprise Strategy, Risk and Governance, you will lead the delivery and monitoring of DCJ’s strategic plan, provide trusted advice to the Executive Leadership Team, and strengthen enterprise governance, risk and compliance capability across the department. This is a highly influential role that will shape organisational performance, support informed decision-making, and ensure the department continues to deliver on its priorities for the people of NSW.
What you’ll do
As the Director, Enterprise Strategy, Risk and Governance, you will:
Provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team on organisational performance, governance and risk management.
Build and lead enterprise-wide risk, governance and compliance functions.
Direct business analysis, risk modelling and compliance programs.
Develop governance frameworks and oversee key governance functions.
Lead organisational change, transformation and communication initiatives.
Build a high-performing team and culture of accountability.
What we’re looking for
Extensive senior executive leadership experience in strategy, governance, risk or compliance.
Ability to provide strategic advice on complex and sensitive issues.
Experience developing enterprise governance and risk frameworks.
Success leading organisational transformation and performance improvement.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
