About us
For over 30 years we’ve supported and protected some of the most fragile ecosystems across the continent and seen the impact of our science-based approach. We keep our eyes on the horizon and focus firmly on long-term, landscape scale impact. As a national, not-for-profit, we want to continue to expand the areas we protect and deepen the impact we have. We work in partnership with Traditional Owners, listening to and learning from the customs and cultures that came before us. Together we can heal and protect the bush, now and into the future.
About the role
The Social Media Intern will support the day-to-day management of Bush Heritage Australia’s social media channels, helping share stories about conservation, wildlife, science and people across our reserves and programs. Working closely with the Communications team, the intern will assist with managing the content calendar, curating content from team members, Bush Heritage colleagues and partners, scheduling posts across social platforms, monitoring and reporting on performance, and supporting community engagement across channels.
This internship is suited to someone with an interest in conservation, environmental communication or science storytelling who is looking to build hands-on experience in digital communications within the environmental sector. The role offers the opportunity to develop practical skills in digital media coordination, content creation, audience engagement and science communication while contributing to the communication of real conservation outcomes.
