Full job description

Aged Care Support Workers Wanted

Come help us make life a little lighter.

At Life Made Lighter, we believe great support is about more than completing a list of tasks.

It’s about connection. Independence. Dignity. A good conversation. A little laughter. And sometimes, simply being the person who makes someone’s day feel that little bit easier.

We’re growing our team and looking for compassionate, reliable and genuinely caring Support Care Workers who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they support.

About the role

As a Support Care Worker with Life Made Lighter, you’ll provide individualised support to clients in their homes and communities, helping them live safely, confidently and as independently as possible.

Depending on the needs of each client, your day may include:

  • Providing companionship and social support
  • Assisting with everyday activities and routines
  • Supporting clients with community access, appointments and outings
  • Helping with meal preparation and light household tasks
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Supporting clients to work towards their individual goals
  • Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
  • Being a trusted, consistent and positive presence in someone’s life

Who we’re looking for

Qualifications and experience are valuable, but the person behind them matters just as much to us.

We’re looking for people who are kind, patient, dependable and respectful. People who understand that every client is an individual and that good care should never feel one-size-fits-all.

You’ll be someone who communicates well, takes responsibility, respects boundaries and privacy, and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Relevant qualifications and previous experience in disability, aged care, community care or support work will be highly regarded.

Applicants should hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, the relevant checks and certifications required for the role, including a current Police Check, Working with Children Check and,A current driver’s licence and reliable transport. NDIS Worker Screening Check will also be highly regarded.

Why Life Made Lighter?

We want the people who work with us to feel valued too.

You’ll be joining a growing organisation that believes great care starts with great people. We want to build a team where kindness matters, communication is open, and our support workers know the work they do is genuinely appreciated.

If you’re looking for work with purpose, flexibility and the opportunity to have a real impact on someone’s everyday life, we’d love to hear from you.

Because sometimes making a difference doesn’t mean changing someone’s whole world. It simply means making today a little lighter.
