As a Support Worker/Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being, independence, and dignity of those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
• Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being
• Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behavior to the office team
• Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns

What You Bring:

• The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required)
• A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply)
• Certificate in Aged Care or Community Care or Disability is desirable
• A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
• An NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply)
• A current Australian driver's license
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Minimum of 2 doses COVID 19 Vaccination
• Being bilingual is desirable but not necessary
• Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams
• Understanding of aged care and disability issues
