Full job description

This Role is for Someone Who Wants to Truly Make a Difference.

Quest Collective is seeking one compassionate, patient, and emotionally attuned woman to support a 14-year-old girl after school in Cannon Hill.

This role is about connection, encouragement, and belief.

She is a bright, creative young woman who loves to dance, sing, move, and express herself, and she is incredibly eager to gain independence as she grows. What she needs most is a consistent, safe, and nurturing presence - someone who shows up, cares deeply, and helps her build confidence at her own pace.

We are starting with 3-4 afternoons per week, with the opportunity to increase to five afternoons if the relationship feels right for her and for you.

Your afternoons will focus on:

  • Providing after-school support in her home and community
  • Attending appointments with her, and implementing tasks assigned by her psychologist, speech pathologist, etc.
  • Gently assisting with homework and school tasks
  • Supporting emotional regulation and confidence after busy school days
  • Encouraging independence through routine, structure, and choice
  • Engaging in what she loves - music, movement, creativity, conversation
  • Being a calm, steady presence as she grows into herself

Some days will be light and joyful. Other days will require patience, reassurance, and calm leadership. Both are deeply meaningful.

About Quest Collective

Quest Collective is a values-driven NDIS provider that believes support work is about relationships, not just tasks.

We are not a babysitting service and not a rotating-roster provider. We prioritise consistency, emotional safety, and long-term connection - for both participants and support workers.

You will be supported, guided, and never left to navigate things alone.

This Role Would Suit Someone Who…

✔ Is naturally nurturing, patient, and emotionally intelligent
✔ Enjoys supporting teenage girls
✔ Feels confident assisting with homework and learning tasks
✔ Values consistency, trust, and meaningful connection
✔ Wants to commit to a young person and grow alongside her
✔ Finds purpose in helping a young woman build independence

Relevant backgrounds welcomed (but not required):
Education, youth work, psychology, social work, OT, human services - or simply lived experience and a big heart.

Must possess (or be willing to get):
Blue card, yellow card, police check, first aid & cpr, relevant insurance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 – 15 per week

Work Location: In person
