The Opportunity

Kick-start your engineering career with Goodman Fielder as a Graduate Process Engineer, based at our Clayton manufacturing site.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Engineering graduate with a minor in Environmental Engineering to play a key role in how we approach sustainability across our future projects.

You'll work closely with project, engineering, operations and technical teams to review the sustainability impact of upcoming projects, identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and help ensure sustainability is considered from the outset.

Alongside this, you'll gain broad exposure to process improvement, manufacturing technology and continuous improvement within a large-scale FMCG environment.

What you will do

• Review upcoming projects and initiatives through a sustainability and environmental lens, identifying opportunities to improve environmental outcomes.
• Assess opportunities to reduce waste, energy, water and resource consumption across manufacturing projects.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Technical, R&D and Project teams to embed sustainability into project design and decision-making.
• Support process improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability, productivity and cost.
• Analyse data and translate findings into practical recommendations for project and site teams.
• Contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies and more sustainable manufacturing solutions.
• Support change and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

What you will bring

• Chemical Engineering degree is essential, with a minor in Environmental Engineering.
• A genuine interest in sustainability, environmental impact and sustainable manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data and turn insights into practical recommendations.
• A collaborative and proactive approach, with confidence to work across multiple teams and influence outcomes.
• A growth mindset, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
