Medical Receptionist/Admin Offficer, Icon Cancer Centre Concord

About the role
As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, organised, and efficient front-of-house experience. Working closely with our clinical and administration teams, you will ensure every patient interaction is handled with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing

• Greet and support patients, ensuring a positive first impression
• Coordinate appointments and manage clinic schedules
• Respond to phone and in-person enquiries with care and clarity
• Process billing, including Medicare and private health claims
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Monitor the administrative patient journey to ensure smooth care delivery
• Support workplace health and safety activities
• Champion Icon’s values in every interaction

About you
You are a proactive and approachable administrator who enjoys supporting others and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You bring a positive attitude and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Skills and experience

• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal
• Confident with computer systems, including Word and Excel
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service
• Familiarity with medical terminology is highly regarded
