Full job description

MGC Solutions Pty Ltd is a key provider of Infrastructure Services, delivering works in the Railway Signalling and Railway Communications sectors across Western Australia. An opportunity has become available for experienced system administrator, full time in the Perth region. The position requires minimum 3 years of relevant experience. The annual salary is $120,000 - $130,000 plus super. Our office is located at Canning Vale WA 6155. This role requires frequent site travel in the metro and possible regional Western Australia

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive data related to grain trading, logistics, and export operations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications such as HACCP and FeedSafe.
  • Provide IT support for Demeter Grains' receival sites in Pingelly, Wagin, and Williams, as well as the container packing facility in Kwinana. This includes managing systems that facilitate grain receival, processing, and export logistics.
  • Administer and support software applications used in grain trading, inventory management, and logistics coordination. Ensure seamless integration between different systems to streamline operations.
  • Offer technical support to staff across various departments, including training on new systems and troubleshooting hardware and software issues to maintain productivity.
  • Develop and manage data backup strategies to safeguard critical business information. Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.
  • Coordinate IT needs with Morton Nutrition, a subsidiary of Demeter Grains, ensuring that their specialized production processes for equine feed are supported by reliable IT systems.
