About the Role

At BDO (NTH QLD), you will be part of a growing, market-leading, locally owned and operated, professional services firm. Expressions of interest are currently open for Senior Auditors to join our team within our Cairns and Townsville offices. We are seeking proactive and highly motivated individuals who will play a key role in delivering high quality audit services across a diverse client base while supporting the ongoing development of our people.

Working closely with Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for managing key components of audit engagements, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the quality, efficiency and continuous improvement of our audit processes. You will be trusted to apply sound professional judgement, provide technical guidance to others, and support the development of a high performing audit team.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications being a Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent

  • The ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and solve problems

  • Self-starter with a detail-oriented approach

  • Professional presentation with a friendly manner and proactive attitude

  • Strong IT and computer skills. You will embrace new technology and have the ability to adapt quickly

  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion

  • Minimum one year experience in a similar role

  • Ability to effectively manage your own workflow

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

Negotiable salary based on relevant experience, starting from $87,500.00 (inclusive of superannuation).
