About the Role:
Working as part of our Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) team, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality educational service by supporting teachers, students and parents in a positive and inclusive school environment. The role involves assisting teachers with the preparation and delivery of practical learning activities, maintaining workshop facilities, equipment and resources, and providing administrative and classroom support to ensure safe, engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
Desirable skills and experience:
Experience working in a workshop, trade, manufacturing or construction environment (desirable).
Experience using and maintaining hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly workshop.
Ability to monitor stock levels and assist with ordering consumables.
Confidence working collaboratively as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with students and staff.
Ability to support students with varying learning needs.
Basic computer skills for record keeping and resource management.
