Position Information
Riverstone High School (RHS) is a vibrant and inclusive co-educational school located on Dharug land. The school serves a culturally and linguistically diverse community of approx. 800 students, with 45% from a language background other than English, 25% requiring support for EAL/D, and 11% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school delivers a broad and dynamic curriculum from Years 7 to 12. Stage 6 students benefit from a wide range of subjects, including Vocational Education pathways, as well as access through Nirimba Collegiate, which expand their academic and career opportunities. RHS offers a well-balanced, holistic curriculum alongside a strong commitment to inclusive education through its Inclusive Education Unit. With a dedicated team of approximately 90 staff members, RHS is experiencing exciting growth, reflecting the residential developments in the North-West Growth Area.
Selection Criteria
1. Approval to teach Visual Arts and Visual Design.
2. Proven ability to deliver differentiated, explicit learning in a positive, inclusive environment that promotes student engagement, growth, safety, and inspires diverse learners.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and contribute to faculty and whole school programs, including exhibitions, showcases, and extra-curricular CAPA activities.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
