You can be part of the team that enables significant service improvements for our people.

Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:
This is a senior technology leadership opportunity responsible for driving the end-to-end technical delivery of complex initiatives across SAP, Rail systems, and enterprise platform environments within Transport for NSW.

The role acts as the key point of accountability for solution delivery across multiple concurrent programs and workstreams, ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture, strategic roadmaps, operational requirements, and business outcomes.

You will provide leadership across large-scale technology initiatives, ensuring solution integrity across integrated systems, platforms, and delivery streams spanning both legacy and modern environments. This includes overseeing technical decision-making to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and aligned with long-term modernisation objectives.

A key focus of the role is managing complex dependencies and integrations across platforms, backend services, APIs, vendors, and operational systems. You will proactively govern delivery sequencing, identify interdependencies early, and mitigate technology delivery risks to ensure smooth implementation and operational continuity.

You will lead technical governance, assurance, and compliance activities, embedding risk controls, quality checkpoints, and governance practices across delivery lifecycles. The role requires ensuring compliance with NSW Government ICT, cyber security, audit, and enterprise governance standards, while maintaining transparency and clear escalation pathways for critical issues.

The role also drives delivery excellence across multiple projects, BAU streams, and platform uplift initiatives, coordinating architecture, data, testing, release, and service management activities to ensure consistent delivery outcomes. You will oversee capacity planning, prioritisation, and pipeline management across a complex portfolio.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, translating complex technical concepts, constraints, and risks into clear business language to support strategic decision-making and prioritisation.

About you

You are an experienced technology delivery leader with strong expertise in complex enterprise delivery environments, ideally across SAP, Rail systems, operational platforms, or large-scale integrated technology ecosystems.

You bring proven experience delivering end-to-end technical programs, with strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration practices, and modern delivery methodologies across both legacy and cloud-enabled platforms.

You have deep experience managing cross-program dependencies, integration risks, and multi-stream delivery environments, ensuring alignment across architecture, engineering, testing, security, release, and operational teams.

You are highly organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities across projects, BAU activities, and transformation initiatives within fast-paced and highly governed environments.

You bring strong experience in technical governance, risk management, and compliance, with the ability to embed assurance frameworks and ensure delivery adheres to organisational, regulatory, and cyber security standards.

You are a strong communicator and stakeholder leader, able to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business outcomes. You can confidently engage with executives, delivery teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders, providing clear insights, recommendations, and direction.

With a calm, structured, and strategic approach, you are passionate about delivering high-quality, resilient, and scalable technology solutions that support Transport’s evolving operational and transformation objectives.
