About the role
As Fleet Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end management of TAFE NSW’s diverse fleet, a combination of light and heavy vehicle & mobile training units, driving performance, efficiency and innovation across operations. You’ll play a key role in Electric Vehicle transition delivering high-quality, customer-focused services while ensuring compliance, value for money and continuous improvement across a large and geographically dispersed organisation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll shape strategy, oversee financial and data analysis and FBT obligations. You’ll manage contracts and introduce smarter, more sustainable fleet solutions that support evolving business needs. This is a dynamic leadership role where you’ll influence decision-making, optimise asset performance and help modernise service delivery to meet the future of vocational education
About you
You bring strong experience leading and improving fleet operations within large, complex organisations, with a proven track record of driving performance, innovation and value. You’re commercially savvy, with deep expertise in managing external fleet contracts and suppliers to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes
A confident communicator and strategic thinker, you build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translate insights into clear, actionable plans. You combine sound technical knowledge with strong leadership capability, using data, business cases and reporting to influence decision-making and deliver measurable results
Essential Requirements:
- A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement).
- Degree qualification in related field or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading and improving fleet services operations and performance in a large and complex organisation.
- Significant experience managing external fleet services contracts to optimise value provided to business.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior business stakeholders and apply strong verbal and written skills to management activities such as presentations, business cases, submissions, briefings, reporting, projects and tenders.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in Fleet Management of heavy vehicles
- Financial and Commercial Acumen
- Experience Leading and contributing to projects
