About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 July 2027
The Test Lead leads testing for the Victorian Transport Digital Engineering (VTDE) program, ensuring fit-for-purpose digital solutions are delivered through effective testing strategies, quality assurance, and governance. The role develops enterprise testing frameworks, oversees test planning, and provides expert advice on testing risks, quality, and deployment readiness.


The role leads multiple testing streams across complex programs, managing resources, budgets, vendors, and delivery partners to achieve quality outcomes. It identifies and manages testing and business readiness risks, influences senior stakeholders, and ensures testing activities align with departmental objectives and digital transformation priorities.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

  • Experience delivering testing across waterfall, agile and hybrid project environments. (mandatory)
  • Hands-on experience with TestRail, JIRA, SQL and ALM. (mandatory)
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with automation testing experience being an advantage. (desirable)
