Now hiring – Café All-Rounder

Beachside location - Copacabana NSW

THE BEES KNEES EATERY is on the lookout for a mature-minded and experienced café all-rounder… with the role to be split 50/50 between barista duties and the preparation and plating up of our simple but delicious range of food items. Think lots of Bacon & Egg rolls, Avocado Smash, Acai Bowls, Burgers, Toasties, etc., and prepping ingredients for same. If you can already make a great espresso coffee… even better!

This role will require the individual to work THREE or FOUR days per week (negotiable), however regular SATURDAY availability is critical. We want our team members to work hard but also have time for a balanced life. A permanent and fixed-days opportunity is available for a great candidate.

About you:

• You may have had experience in a commercial (cafe or restaurant) kitchen, or you may simply be a passionate and well-organised home cook.
• You have solid barista experience and a passion for espresso coffee made well.
• You are available to consistently work Saturdays, from as early as 6.00am, including school holidays and long weekends, and are available to work another two or three weekdays each week.
• You have an excellent understanding of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
• You can demonstrate a sound understanding of safe work practises.
• You have an easy-going and friendly nature and can work well with others in a workplace that values positivity and cooperation above all else.
• You are reliable, well-presented, honest and conscientious.
