All-Round Café Waiter/WaitressPosition Overview

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking All-Round Café Waiter/Waitress to join our café team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting with daily café operations, including front-of-house service, food and beverage preparation, cleaning, and general duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
  • Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the POS system.
  • Serve food, coffee, beverages, and other menu items.
  • Prepare basic food and beverages according to café standards.
  • Clear and clean tables, chairs, counters, and dining areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Restock food, beverages, packaging, and other supplies.
  • Assist kitchen and barista staff when required.
  • Ensure orders are presented correctly and served promptly.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor customer concerns professionally.
  • Follow food safety, workplace health and safety, and café procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods.
  • Perform other general café duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required.
  • RSA certificate is an advantage if alcohol is served.
  • Food Safety Supervisor training is an advantage where applicable.
