The Role

As a professional trade waiter, you will be reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, you will:

Drive continuous improvement across all areas of service

Consistently work days

Liaise with wine buyers and administration staff to ensure operational efficiencies

Train junior staff and oversee sections in the restaurants.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience in the hospitality sector along with experience in:

Communicating clearly, respectfully, and patiently with customers and staff alike

Attend staff briefings

Setting up the restaurant and checking all supplies are topped up.

Answer phone calls and make reservations on behalf of clients

Greet customers, presenting them with menus and wine lists

Liaise with chefs regarding menus, upcoming specials, and customer dietaries

Taking orders and inputting into POS system correctly (making sure all dietaries are mentioned)

Serving food and beverages as per our service guidelines

Monitoring the maintenance of equipment and inventory levels

Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of spaces

Upholding HR & OH&S policies

Problem solving under pressure
