Being Physio – Growing Allied Health Across Sydney's Northwest

Kickstart Your Career as a Therapy Assistant with a Team That Backs You

Are you a Therapy Assistant who loves seeing clients reach their goals — and wants to grow your career within a supportive, multidisciplinary team? We'd love to hear from you.

At Being Physio, we know Therapy Assistants are the engine room of great client outcomes. We're a growing allied health practice delivering physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology across our clinics in Sydney's northwest, supporting NDIS, aged care, Medicare and private clients. As we expand, we're looking for motivated people who want to build a genuine, long-term career in allied health alongside experienced clinicians.

About the Role

Working under the supervision of our physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, you'll help deliver evidence-based therapy programs and support clients across clinic and community settings. You'll play a hands-on role in helping people build independence, improve their quality of life and work toward the goals that matter most to them.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Assisting clinicians to deliver individual and group therapy programs
  • Implementing treatment plans under the guidance of qualified allied health professionals
  • Supporting clients to progress toward their therapy goals
  • Preparing therapy resources and setting up treatment spaces
  • Completing progress notes and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborating with clinicians across physio, OT and speech pathology
  • Building warm, professional relationships with clients, families and carers
  • Promoting client independence through high-quality, person-centred support

About You

You're passionate about allied health, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in doing the small things well. Ideally, you'll have:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working toward one)
  • Some experience as a Therapy Assistant or in a similar support role — though we welcome newcomers with transferable experience from disability support, aged care, education or childcare
  • A solid understanding of person-centred, evidence-based care
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • The ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A valid NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Why Join Being Physio?

Grow with us — We're expanding, and we invest in our team. You'll have real opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.

Learn from experienced clinicians — Work side by side with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists across a varied caseload.

Structured support — Ongoing mentoring, supervision and training to help you build confidence and capability.

Variety that keeps things interesting — Paediatric and adult clients across clinic and community settings, no two days the same.

Make a real difference — Help children and adults improve their independence, participation and quality of life every single day.
