An exciting opportunity exists to join the medical teams across a diverse network of metropolitan, regional and community healthcare settings, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Ryde Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Ochre Health GP Parkes, Port Macquarie Base Hospital, Wauchope District Memorial Hospital and Kempsey District Hospital.

This role offers a unique training experience with exposure to a broad range of clinical specialties, patient populations and models of care. What you'll be doing

This position provides an outstanding opportunity to develop broad clinical skills while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team across a diverse network of healthcare settings.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality medical care and support that is appropriate your level of clinical experience and competency. Under the supervision of senior medical practitioners, the successful applicant will undertake the assessment, management and ongoing care of patients across a range of clinical departments, while developing critical skills in clinical decision-making, communication and professional practice.

As part of the HETI 5 Network, you will gain valuable experience across a variety of metropolitan, regional and community healthcare environments. Successful applicants may be required to work across the following network facilities:

  • Ochre Health GP, Parkes
  • Port Macquarie Base Hospital
  • Kempsey District Hospital
  • Wauchope District Memorial Hospital

Merit Selection

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

To be employed by NSW Health, applicants must provide evidence of vaccination and comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive (PD2024_015). Compliance with this policy, including any amendments made from time to time, is a mandatory condition of employment.

Applicants will be required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status, immunity, and any other occupational health requirements relevant to the position. Evidence must be submitted and assessed in accordance with NSW Health requirements prior to commencement.


Working with Children Check

This position requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance issued by Service NSW. A current and valid WWCC is a mandatory requirement for appointment to this role.

Applicants who do not already hold a WWCC clearance will need to apply for one through Service NSW.
