The Role

The Royal Hospital for Women is a renowned tertiary/quaternary healthcare institution committed to providing exemplary care to women, babies, and their families from throughout NSW. With a legacy of innovation and compassion, we offer comprehensive neonatal and women’s health services including obstetrics, gynaecology, breast health, neonatology, and other sub-specialties.
The role of the sonographer is to provide high quality sonographic images for interpretation by a Medical Imaging specialist whilst offering the utmost care and compassion to women and babies.

Selection Criteria:
- Hold Accredited Medical Sonographer (AMS) registration with ASAR and appropriate post graduate ultrasound qualification.
- Demonstrated prior experience in obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound.
- Prior experience in paediatric/neonatal ultrasound is preferred (or willingness to learn).
- Willingness to upskill and learn new imaging techniques and participate in monthly case reviews and departmental quality assurance programs.
- Participate in on call roster and willingness to perform mobile examinations and ultrasound guidance in operating theatres.
- Demonstrate willingness to train and teach trainee sonographers and junior medical staff.
