Botanic House is a premium dining destination located in the heart of the Royal Botanic Garden, offering sophisticated food, wine and hospitality in one of Sydney's most beautiful settings.
We are looking for an experienced Waiter / Waitress to join our Front of House team.
We are seeking someone who understands premium restaurant service, is confident managing their own section and has the knowledge and personality to provide a genuinely memorable guest experience.
About the role
You will be responsible for managing your own section and delivering attentive, knowledgeable and personalised service from the moment guests arrive until they leave.
You will be expected to confidently discuss the menu and make recommendations across food, wine and cocktails.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your own section confidently and efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional service throughout the guest experience.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, wine and cocktails.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalised service.
- Maintain high standards of presentation and attention to detail.
- Work closely with the wider Front of House and Kitchen teams.
- Support your colleagues during busy service periods.
- Handle guest requests professionally and confidently.
- Maintain a polished and professional presentation at all times.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience in a One Hat restaurant or similar premium dining environment.
- Proven experience managing a section independently.
- Strong food, wine and cocktail knowledge.
- Confidence suggesting food and beverage options to guests.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality.
- A positive and team-focused attitude.
- Impeccable personal presentation.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Current NSW RSA.
- Full Australian working rights.
Availability
Flexibility is essential.
You must be available to work:

- Public holidays
- Christmas
- New Year's Eve
