Preface

We are Ascent Academia, a tutoring business specialising in the VCE maths and science. Our mission is to provide the opportunity for all students to excel in their studies through quality education and coaching. Currently, we are looking for motivated and talented individuals to help us tutor our students.

Head Tutor for Chemistry Units 1/2

Job description

You will be working as an employee for Ascent Academia.

  • Live classes where you will need to teach the week's content to a class in in-person or online settings.
  • Reviewing and quality checking resources such as lesson booklets.
  • Host check-ins and meetings with other Chemistry Units 1/2 tutors to ensure standards are met and address any concerns.
  • Keep track and log student performance such as test scores

Expectations of the applicant

  • Applicant must be a recent VCE student graduate
  • Prior experience of tutoring at a high school level
  • Is able to travel to our in-person centre in Box-Hill/Blackburn
  • You have a valid Working with Children Check or willing to apply for a Working with Children Check that will last for at least 12 months

Remuneration

The rate is $70/hour but this is negotiable.
