Location : Second home cafe is operating from various locations ( Richmond, Windsor, Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Baulkham Hills, Northmead, Riverstone)

Chef requirements

• Minimum 2 years relevant commercial cookery experience as a chef
• Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery
• Cafe experience must
• English Language Ability

Job Duties / Responsibilities include;

· Preparation and cooking dishes for the restaurant that brings flavour to every plate.

· Devising menus as per target market and target customers

. Creative, reliable and able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

· Handling of food orders for kitchen including but not limited to estimated stock amount, ordering stock and calculating stock costs and controlling food cost.

· Recruit and train kitchen staff to assist with the kitchen operations

· Liaising with management concerning menus, customer requests/feedback and other issues relating to the food preparation in the restaurant

· Preservation of food to ensure limited wastage

· Maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen area and ensuring kitchen staff maintain same level of hygiene

· Organize and maintain kitchen area at all times

· Monitor food quality and ensuring high standard of food is delivered to customers

· Handle customer complaints and feedback concerning the food

· Keeping up-to-date with cooking techniques, procedures and trends

· Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

· monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

· Report to management where issues arise beyond issues that can be handled by the chef
