About the Team:
The Apprenticeship/Traineeship Support Unit (ASU) at Victoria University is a dedicated team that supports apprentices, trainees, employers, teaching departments, and external stakeholders throughout the apprenticeship lifecycle. ASU plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with Victorian Government and training contract requirements, managing enrolments, progress reports, contract variations, qualification transitions, and completions. The unit acts as a central point of coordination, providing administrative, compliance, and stakeholder support to help apprentices/trainees successfully progress through and complete their training while ensuring employers and VU meet all regulatory obligations.
About the Role:
The overall purpose of the Apprenticeship / Traineeship Support Officer is to provide administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the Apprenticeship / Traineeship Support Unit. The incumbent will perform a range of administrative tasks to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided to apprentices, trainees, teaching departments, employers and other relevant external stakeholders
Position Key Duties
- Provide administrative support across the Apprenticeship / Traineeship student lifecycle.
- Develop and foster strong relationships with employers.
- Contribute to the work effort of the Apprenticeship / Traineeship Support Unit to ensure key performance indicators are met.
- Work in a customer-focused team, supporting employers, apprentices, and trainees throughout their journey with Victoria University TAFE
Position Details

- Salary: $79,135 - $90,899 per annum
- Employment Type: Continuing
- Hours per Week: Full time (36.75 hours per week)
- Location: Sunshine
