Role Overview

At CommSec , we believe in empowering people to grow their knowledge and build financial confidence. As our Video Editor & Studio Operator , CommSec , you’ll play a key role in helping the team shape how Australian understand global and local markets, helping them invest with confidence.

You’ll help bring our market insights to life through high ‑ quality content and a reliable, high ‑ performing studio environment.

As we expand our content capability, this role will be critical in ensuring we can scale output while maintaining quality and reliability.

On any given day, you will

In this role, you will support the Media and Markets team to deliver high ‑ quality content across video, audio and digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience for customers.

You will be responsible for editing content across formats including podcast, video, social and digital, producing outputs that are clear, engaging and aligned to CommSec’s brand. You’ll work closely with commentators, producers and stakeholders to deliver content on time and to a high standard.

A key part of this role is supporting the operation of CommSec’s studio environments. You will assist with the setup and execution of live broadcasts, podcast recordings and video production, ensuring sessions run smoothly and efficiently. You will also diagnose and resolve technical issues across audio, video and broadcast systems, helping maintain reliable and uninterrupted content delivery.

You will contribute to maintaining and improving production workflows, helping the team operate more efficiently as output scales. This includes supporting scheduling, studio coordination and content delivery processes.

You will also support the management of studio equipment and technical suppliers, helping ensure systems and services remain fit ‑ for ‑ purpose and aligned to the needs of the team. Throughout, you will maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and consistency across all outputs.

This role requires flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including early morning coverage, to support consistent and reliable market updates.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in multimedia editing, with the ability to produce high ‑ quality video and audio content across digital platforms.

You will have a solid understanding of studio and production environments, including cameras, audio and broadcast systems, and be confident diagnosing and resolving technical issues as they arise. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure all content meets a high standard.

You will be able to work effectively in a fast ‑ paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with content creators, commentators and stakeholders across the business.

Adaptable and proactive in your approach, you will identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency and output quality over time. An interest in financial markets and content that helps customers better understand investing will be highly regarded.

This role requires flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including early morning coverage, to support consistent and reliable market updates.
