Full job description

About The CareSide

As a family-owned and operated company, The CareSide delivers unparalleled support to home care recipients across Australia. Our mission-driven, entrepreneurial roots have helped us blossom into a national provider, meaning our clients and their families get the best of both worlds: the resources of an established company with the accessibility and authenticity of a local family-run business.

But what sets The CareSide apart?

We’ve developed proprietary software that enables us to operate far more efficiently than other home care service providers. It empowers our team to collaborate and do their jobs more effectively, all while passing substantial savings down to our clients and their families. Our unique blend of talent and technology has driven significant growth since our inception in 2017—and we’re just getting started.

If the opportunity to carve out a new role at a mission-driven company excites you, then we’d love to hear from you!

About The Role

We’re looking to bring on a freelance videographer based in Perth to help grow our brand awareness and turn The CareSide into a household name.

This role is ideal for a videographer looking to build a strong portfolio and take ownership of video creation.

Nearly every facet of marketing starts with some form of content. Content is how companies build an audience, earn customer trust, and communicate their value proposition. And increasingly more of the content that resonates with consumers is video.

You’ll work collaboratively with our content team to plan and execute creative video shoots each month. Your goal is to help humanise our company, staff, and clients by shining a light on their stories and experiences. This could include short-form clips for social media advertising, documentary-style footage, animated commercials, and everything in between.

This is an ongoing contract role, including an average of 1-2 days per month of shooting plus additional time for editing. As a contractor, you won’t be viewed as a line item or second-class citizen. Instead, you’ll play an integral role on our marketing team. At the same time, we also appreciate that you likely have other projects and you’re juggling a life outside of work. We’ll provide you with the flexibility you need to manage your schedule and other priorities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute monthly video shoots at our office in Subiaco and at clients’ homes
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective video concepts
  • Film a mix of content, including client stories, staff interviews, and short-form social media clips
  • Edit raw footage into polished videos (with captions and company branding) suitable for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Deliver multiple variations from each shoot (e.g. short clips, long-form content, UGC-style testimonials, etc.)
  • Organise and manage footage, files, and basic editing workflows
  • Bring and manage your own video equipment

Your Background

  • 1-3+ years of hands-on videography experience (freelance, personal projects, or internships)
  • Comfortable filming with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, smartphones, and audio equipment
  • Comfortable using editing video tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with lighting, framing, and audio quality
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage shoots independently
  • Comfortable filming in real-world environments (such as clients’ homes) with minimal setup time
  • Open to feedback and eager to learn and improve over time

Our Benefits

  • Flexible work schedule
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Freedom to bring ideas, not just execute briefs
  • Steady flow of work (not one-off projects)
  • Opportunity to build a robust portfolio
  • Quick turnaround on approvals
  • Learn what works in ads vs. organic content
  • Purposeful mission!

Our Mission and Values

Our mission is to deliver unparalleled home care at the most affordable prices.
