A Platform Engineer builds and maintains the internal infrastructure, cloud platforms, deployment systems, and developer tools that software teams use to deliver applications reliably and quickly.

Typical Platform Engineer Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Design and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Build CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

Maintain Kubernetes and container platforms

Improve system reliability, scalability, and security

Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

Monitor systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog

Support developers with internal platforms and tooling

Implement DevOps and SRE best practices

Handle incident response and performance optimization

Pay: $10,000.00 – $12,500.00 per month
