Full job description

A Factory Worker is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations by assembling products, operating machinery, packaging finished goods, and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following workplace health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble, inspect, and package products according to company standards.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
  • Perform routine quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
  • Report equipment faults, production issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist with inventory movement and stock handling as required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or factory work is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Forklift licence (LF) is an advantage for some positions but not required.
