Location: Nepean (Kingswood) Campus
Permanent Part Time (0.5 FTE – 17.5 hours per week)
$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro-rata)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Visual Arts educator on a permanent part-time basis (17.5 hours per week) at Nepean Kingswood campus to inspire students through engaging and creative learning experiences.
At Nepean campus we deliver high-quality teaching across a range of visual arts disciplines, such as photography, ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. This role requires a commitment to fostering artistic expression, creativity and technical skill development in students. You will equip students with the practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and professional behaviours required for real-world practice.
The successful candidate will be willing and able to travel between Nepean Kingwood campus and Blue Mountains campuses and other locations as required to support teaching and learning outcomes.
About You
You are a qualified Visual Arts professional with a minimum Diploma qualification and a genuine passion for arts education. You bring demonstrated skills and experience in visual arts practice, with strengths in photography and ceramics highly regarded. Experience in painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking will also be valued.
You are an engaging communicator who can build positive relationships with students and colleagues, and you are adaptable, organised and committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Diploma in a relevant Visual Art subject.
- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
