Chef – Reef Cafe, Coral Bay WA

Position: Chef (Full-Time)

Location: Coral Bay, Western Australia

Salary: $79,423 per annum plus superannuation

Reef Cafe is a busy and well-established café located in the beautiful coastal town of Coral Bay,

Western Australia. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team

on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining

exceptional food safety and kitchen standards. You will work closely with the management team to

ensure efficient kitchen operations and a positive dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with menu requirements.
  • Assist with menu planning and the development of seasonal specials.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety.
  • Order, receive and control stock while minimising food wastage.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during service.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and contribute to a positive team culture.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

  • A relevant qualification equivalent to Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher; and/or
  • At least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing a variety of high-quality meals in a commercial kitchen.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, sanitation and HACCP principles.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
