Do you know Melbourne inside out and enjoy sharing its culture, history, and hidden gems with visitors?

Guydeez is looking for French-speaking locals to lead private, personalized walking tours for small groups of international travelers. This freelance opportunity is ideal for people who enjoy meeting visitors and creating authentic, memorable experiences.

No professional tour guide license is required. We value local knowledge, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm for showcasing Melbourne.

What You'll Do

  • Lead private walking tours across Melbourne's neighborhoods, landmarks, and hidden gems (typically 3–8 hours)
  • Share engaging stories about the city's history, culture, architecture, and local lifestyle
  • Personalize each experience according to guests' interests and pace
  • Recommend local attractions, cafés, restaurants, and cultural experiences
  • Create a welcoming, professional, and memorable experience for every visitor
  • (Optional) Host themed or food-focused experiences

Who We're Looking For

  • Based in Melbourne or very familiar with the city
  • Fluent in French (required)
  • Strong knowledge of Melbourne's history, culture, and major attractions
  • Friendly, reliable, and confident when interacting with international visitors
  • Comfortable leading walking tours lasting 3–8 hours
  • Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, customer service, or guiding is a plus but not required
  • Passion for culture, storytelling, and local food is an advantage
