Iconic Sydney venue, Home The Venue, is looking for energetic, passionate and outgoing bartenders to join our team.

The venue

Located in Darling Harbour, Home The Venue has been one of Sydney's longest running nightclubs to date. For more than 20 years, DJ's, Performers, Dancers, Artists, Bands and Promoters have all called our venue home for the night. Spanning 3 levels and 10 bars, we host some of the biggest parties Sydney has ever seen!

The gig

We are looking to expand on our amazing bar team with some new vibrant and passionate bartenders. Whether you're a hospo veteran or an eager newbie wanting to learn, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, friendly and keen to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Process sales through the POS, including accurate cash handling and eftpos transactions
  • Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the bar
  • Assist with restocking the fridges and dry goods
  • Provide friendly customer service
  • Uphold the Responsible Service of Alcohol under current legislation
  • Work on a rotating roster from Friday to Sunday
  • Must be willing to work public holidays

What we are looking for

  • Experience working behind the bar, at a nightclub or in a fast-paced environment will be highly regarded
  • An understanding of mixing and serving drinks
  • An understanding of current NSW liquor legislation
  • Passionate, driven and have a genuine interest in hospitality
  • Someone who is a team player, has great communication skills and a hands on attitude

Big Beat Australia pays the Restaurant Award rates. These figures change regularly and at the time of posting this job for a Grade 2 position were $33.85 + superannuation per hour to $67.70 + superannuation per hour plus penalty rates when applicable.

A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certification is essential and any applicants without this will not be considered.
