Full job description
Sydney | Casual | $50–$80 per hour + super
Paid training | Weekday and weekend availability required
Enjoy meeting new people and creating an experience they’ll remember?
Unique Parfum brings a live perfume bar to corporate events, brand activations and private celebrations. Guests explore our collection of 24 French fragrances and choose a single perfume or blend up to three to create their own.
We’re hiring five casual team members to help deliver these experiences across Sydney.
What you’ll do
You’ll guide guests through choosing their scents, test combinations and blend and bottle their finished perfume. You’ll need to be comfortable starting conversations, helping someone who doesn’t know what they like, and giving others space to explore.
You’ll also handle the practical side alongside another team member:
- Prepare and pack fragrances, bottles and equipment at our Petersham storage location.
- Transport the equipment to the venue in one team member’s car.
- Set up the perfume bar and deliver the experience.
- Pack down, return equipment to storage and leave everything clean and organised.
- Complete checklists and a short event report through our staff app.
Who we’re looking for
You’re naturally outgoing, attentive and comfortable speaking with different people. You take commitments seriously, arrive on time and communicate early if something goes wrong.
You’ll also need:
- Availability across both weekdays and weekends.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a suitable car for transporting event equipment.
- Confidence following instructions, checking quantities and working independently with a colleague.
- Willingness to help with packing, safe equipment handling, cleaning and reporting.
- The right to work in Australia.
Experience in events, hospitality, retail, promotions or customer service is welcome. Perfume experience isn’t required. We’ll teach you.
Pay and shifts
- Monday–Friday: $50 per hour.
- Saturday: $60 per hour.
- Sunday: $70 per hour.
- Public holidays: $80 per hour.
Rates include casual loading, with super paid on top. Required training is paid, and wages are paid weekly. Applicable overtime is paid separately.
Approved business driving is reimbursed at $1/km, with parking and tolls reimbursed separately.
Shifts include preparation at storage, travel, setup, service, pack-down and return to storage. For example, a 3–8pm event may involve a midday–10pm shift span, including scheduled breaks.
Work is event-dependent, with no guaranteed weekly hours. Shifts are generally offered around one month ahead.
We provide a uniform. Black dress pants and black dress shoes are required.
How to apply
Apply with your CV and a short introduction explaining:
- Why this role interests you.
- Your weekday and weekend availability.
- Your vehicle type.
- One example of a time people relied on you to follow through on a commitment.
Our selection process has two stages: a short screening interview, followed by a second mock event case study for shortlisted applicants. Successful candidates complete training and supervised events before working independently.
Pay: $50.00 – $80.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Travel reimbursement
Work Location: In person
