Job Description:
Polite Playground:
At Polite Playground, we’re not just any events agency — We’re crafting unforgettable experiences. With operations spanning across NSW, VIC, QLD, SA & WA, we specialize in creating marketing moments for our clients. From corporate activations to promotional events, we’re on a mission to engage, excite, and make a lasting impact. We work with a wide range of leading brands, delivering creative, tech-driven, and people-focused experiences across Australia.
Job Description:
We’re looking for on-site event operators to join our growing team. This hands-on role combines photography, event operations, and brand ambassador responsibilities — perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
As an Operator, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering memorable brand activations — from conventions to private functions and everything in between. You’ll get to work with big brands, New technology, and a passionate team that makes every event come to life.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and load event kits and equipment into vans
- Set up event equipment (camera kits, lighting, road cases, branded setups, TVs, printers, etc.)
- Communicate with the internal team and on-site contacts
- Use photography skills to test and ensure the best quality output
- Apply technical skills to troubleshoot issues on-site
- Engage attendees and promote the activation experience
- Manage attendee flow and maintain a safe, positive environment
- Pack down equipment and return to storage post-event
Requirements:
Polite Playground thrives on team members who bring a friendly, adaptable, and can-do attitude to the table. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-driven and adaptable under pressure
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in photography and/or videography (not essential if you’re more brand ambassador focused)
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving vans
Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate for casual positions ($35.00 – $47.00 per hour)
- Opportunities for career growth and development in an ever-evolving industry
- Work across diverse, exciting projects with top-tier clients
- Collaborative and innovative team culture where your contributions matter
- Polite Playground is committed to diversity and equal opportunity — we encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
How to Apply:
If you’re ready to dive into the world of experiential events and bring your skills to the team, we’d love to hear from you.
After submitting your resume, successful applicants will receive a follow-up email with a few short questions to assess fit for the role — keep an eye out for it!
