The purpose of this job
As our Medical Receptionist, you'll be the warm, professional voice that greets patients when they need care most. You're not just answering phones - you're creating calm out of chaos, turning anxious moments into reassuring experiences, and keeping our practice running like clockwork.
Your day will be dynamic: coordinating appointments, connecting patients with the right care team, answering questions with confidence, and ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels heard and helped. You'll be the vital link between our patients and medical staff, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and everyone gets the support they need, when they need it.

Supporting a small team of General Practitioners and Psychologists, our Roselands practice is located within a Health Hub, nestled amongst other allied health services. Working within a small team, you'll be warmly welcomed and truly supported.
Roselands Health Hub is conveniently located right by a bus stop for public transport, or with plenty of nearby parking. You'll be supporting a small team of General Practitioners and Psychologists within the practice.

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Available to work ideally on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
• Shifts typically 8am - 3pm or 8am - 5:45pm
• Previous Medical Receptionist or Allied Health Admin experience highly regarded
• Best Practice experience is advantageous
• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from their arrival to departure. Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
• Manage appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating with medical staff to schedule consultations, tests, and follow-up appointments
• Assist in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Ensure the reception area is kept clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, support, engagement and communication with the general practice nursing team.
