Are you an experienced medical secretary or medical accounts administrator with a talent for medical billing who's ready for a role that fits around your life?

We're looking for a Perth Based, detail-driven, customer-focused professional to manage billing and claims for our busy specialist/surgical clients — working from home, two days a week.

About the Role

Your day-to-day tasks will include processing and checking claims, chasing up outstanding payments, and being the calm, capable point of contact clients can rely on. This role suits an experienced professional who takes real pride in getting billing right and is genuinely motivated to help doctors run their practice smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process medical billing claims accurately and efficiently for specialists and surgeons
  • Check claims for accuracy before submission and follow up on rejections or discrepancies
  • Manage and follow up outstanding claims with health funds and hospitals
  • Process and follow up workers compensation claims
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding accounts and billing queries as needed
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date billing records
  • Support the Practice Management Consultant/Director as needed

About You

  • Perth Based esssential - you know and are familiar with the area and hospitals
  • Proven experience in medical billing for specialists/surgeons (essential)
  • IT literate and comfortable learning new systems
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional phone/email manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail and genuine pride in the accuracy of your work
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working autonomously
  • A genuine interest in supporting doctors to run an efficient, well-run practice
  • Based in Perth and able to work from home reliably (own equipment/internet)
  • Experience with theatre list management
  • Experience with a range of practice management software

Remuneration

  • Competitive rates commensurate with experience
