Join our Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Palliative Care Team at SALHN
If you bring experience for systems improvement and a genuine commitment to patient safety, this is a role where your work will have a direct and measurable impact on clinical outcomes.
About the role:
This role is responsible for providing Leadership and management to ensure the effective management and delivery of quality and safety outcomes as well as developing strategies in response to issues and opportunities as identified. Temporary contract ending September 2027.
Duties for the role will include:
Facilitate and lead the improvement of systems and processes which contribute to patient safety and quality outcomes.
Support innovative approaches to the delivery of safe healthcare through quality improvement activities and projects.
Work with Divisional services and professional groups to encourage and support the implementation of programs that improve patient safety, quality and risk management of clinical care
Contribute to the development of a generative patient safety culture in the Network and the development and implementation of the Divisional and Network’s Strategic Safety and Quality Plans.
About you:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate OR Appropriate qualification in an Allied Health discipline from a recognised tertiary institution resulting in registration or giving eligibility for membership with the professional association.
At least 5 years (clinical) experience as an Allied Health professional working in a multidisciplinary environment OR At least 3 years (clinical) experience post registration as a registered nurse.
Maintains own knowledge, professional competence and contemporary practices.
Significant experience in a range of project management work and quality improvement activities involving both teamwork and individual effort to achieve significant outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in implementing evidence-based practice specific to clinical practice.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of project plans, briefs, presentations and reports.
This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
