About the role

  • Provide a range of financial and administrative support services
  • Customer service - Respond to incoming telephone and face-to-face enquiries
  • Coordinate shared mailboxes, calendars, systems and registers
  • Collect and compile information and prepare documentation and correspondence
  • Complete systems-based financial transactions including the raising and receipting of purchase orders and payment processing
  • Preparation of meeting agendas, meeting and event coordination
  • Administer and maintain records management systems and processes
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries

About you

  • Experience in providing high quality, customer focused administrative support in a fast paced, collaborative team environment
  • Experience in Finance transactions
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Ability to attend the Gateshead office 5 days a week
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
