About the role
- Provide a range of financial and administrative support services
- Customer service - Respond to incoming telephone and face-to-face enquiries
- Coordinate shared mailboxes, calendars, systems and registers
- Collect and compile information and prepare documentation and correspondence
- Complete systems-based financial transactions including the raising and receipting of purchase orders and payment processing
- Preparation of meeting agendas, meeting and event coordination
- Administer and maintain records management systems and processes
- Respond to internal and external enquiries

About you
- Experience in providing high quality, customer focused administrative support in a fast paced, collaborative team environment
- Experience in Finance transactions
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Ability to attend the Gateshead office 5 days a week
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
