EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – for Masters to work on the World Heritage, Great Barrier Reef!
Masters will be employed to operate vessels undertaking COTS control activities between Lizard Island and the Whitsundays.
Masters are required to live at sea for up to 20 days and have their own accommodation for the days ashore.

Key objectives of the role include:
- Safely operate and manage vessel operations in accordance with maritime regulations
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of crew and passengers while at sea
- Support and coordinate dive operations and tender activities
- Manage vessel maintenance, records, and compliance documentation
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to the crew
- Act as lookout, deckhand, first aider, and tender coxswain when required
- Work within and contribute positively to a diverse team

Minimum certifications
- Master <24m (Master 5) or Higher
- MED 3
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID015 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation and oxygen therapy
- HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Current medical clearance (in line with AMSA requirements)

Desirable skills and attributes
- Marine Science knowledge or experience
- Proven leadership in remote field operations
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
