Migration Assistant – Full-Time

We are seeking an energetic, organised and career-focused Migration Assistant to join our growing team at AEC Global. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with migration industry experience who wants to build a long-term professional career in Australian migration.

We are a Melbourne based Migration and Eduation Firm running a successful business for over seven years.

About the Role

You will work closely under the guidance and supervision of experienced Registered Migration Agents, assisting with migration matters, client communication, application preparation and day-to-day business operations.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, suited to someone who is highly organised, an excellent communicator and comfortable working in a busy and deadline-driven professional environment.

Key Duties

• Work under the supervision and direction of Registered Migration Agents
• Assist with drafting professional letters, submissions and client correspondence
• Assist with preparing and drafting visa, nomination, sponsorship and other migration-related applications under the supervision of registered migration agent.
• Follow up with clients for documents, information and outstanding requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients by phone, email and other channels
• Take instructions from Registered Migration Agents and complete assigned tasks accurately and within deadlines
• Maintain and organise client files and case records
• Monitor deadlines and follow up on ongoing matters
• Assist with general administrative and day-to-day business operational duties
• Provide general support to the migration team as required

Essential Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a migration firm
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• The Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must have been delivered in English as the medium of instruction
• Must have achieved a minimum overall academic result of 80% or equivalent in the relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Excellent typing and spoken English
• Excellent English typing and professional drafting skills
• Currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice, or willing to commence the qualification in the near future
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of Registered Migration Agents
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy and deadline-driven environment
• Professional approach when communicating with clients and colleagues
