About the Role
As an Industrial Painter, you will play a key role in preparing, painting and finishing a wide range of mining equipment and components. Working within our workshop team, you'll help ensure every product leaves the workshop to the highest quality standard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to a high-performing workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, blasting, masking and sanding
Apply industrial coatings and paint systems to mining equipment and components
Ensure all work meets quality and customer specifications
Conduct inspections and identify defects or areas requiring rework
Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
Follow workshop procedures, quality standards and safety requirements
Work closely with workshop tradespeople, supervisors and planners
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
What We're Looking For
Essential
Experience in industrial painting, protective coatings or a related trade
Strong commitment to workplace safety
High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Current driver's licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
