Additional information:
  • This opportunity are Permanent Part-time (60hrs/fortnight)
  • The internal job title is IKEA Food Co-worker
  • You will work on a rotating roster between 7:00am - 9:00pm on weekdays, and 3 out of 4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
  • Monday, Thursday and Friday morning shift (7:00am - 3:00pm) availability is required to receive deliveries from suppliers.
Team vision ( title) About this work area
Team vision (text) As an IKEA Food Co-worker with a primary focus on Goods Receiving, you will play an important role in ensuring our food operations run efficiently behind the scenes. While your main responsibilities sit within stock handling and goods flow, you will also be part of the wider IKEA Food team and may support other areas of the department as required.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing incoming deliveries (pallets weighing up to 200kg) from suppliers and ensuring goods are processed, stored, and replenished efficiently (without the use of a forklift), including regular access to freezer and cool room environments (appropriate PPE provided).
  • Following strict IKEA Food and HACCP standards, ensuring compliance with daily quality, food safety, temperature, and date control routines.
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and leaders to resolve any discrepancies in the receiving process.
  • Contributing to the department’s action plans and supporting the achievement of annual goals and targets.
  • Supporting other IKEA Food areas (such as restaurant, bistro, or kitchen operations) when required, contributing to a seamless customer experience across the department.

Let´s connect As an IKEA Food Storeperson, you are or have:
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A customer-focused mindset, understanding that efficient goods receiving supports the overall customer experience.
  • Physically capable of safely performing manual handling tasks, including lifting, stacking, unpacking, product rotation, and operating manual pallet jacks.
  • An energetic and team-focused approach as this department can become extremely busy.
  • Basic computer skills and experience in recording inventory and have the ability to work according to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and/or experience in replenishment or goods receiving within a large hospitality or retail environment (e.g. supermarkets, convention centres, or airport food operations) will be highly regarded.
  • Are flexible and willing to rotate across different IKEA Food functions as business needs require.
