Position Description

About the position

Council’s Corporate Communication Department is looking for an Internal Communications Officer.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and deliver internal communications - creating engaging, timely and accessible content across internal channels including organisation updates and staff campaigns
  • Write and finalise speech and presentation content for senior leaders and executive management
  • Create communication plans and strategies to support internal business unit

About you

  • A confident and engaging communicator with exceptional writing skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience or understanding of the development of communications strategies.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in journalism, media, public relations or similar field.

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
