Full job description

We’re looking for a commercially minded Digital Client Director to lead growth for APEX, own client and agency partnerships, and deliver measurable digital outcomes. You’ll manage a small team (2–3 account managers), influence agency strategy across ANZ, and drive a sales-led approach to build pipeline and hit revenue targets. This role is ideal for someone from a media sales background who wants to elevate their career and work in close partnership with top media agencies.

What you’ll do

  • Lead strategy and execution of digital engagement initiatives across the APEX team, ensuring alignment with wider PMX objectives.
  • Manage and grow relationships with agency partners (ANZ agency patch) and key clients - be the trusted digital expert.
  • Lead a team of 2–3 account managers: mentor, set clear expectations, and elevate their agency engagement.
  • Own new business development: build pipeline, develop compelling proposals and pitches, and close digital deals.
  • Sell APEX’s suite of products (programmatic, OOH, content, influencer, YouTube, Connected ID, and more).
  • Oversee campaign activation, performance tracking and post-campaign analysis - ensure delivery against KPIs.
  • Use Salesforce to manage leads, pipeline and revenue tracking.
  • Collaborate with Programmatic and Social teams, PMX Product & Strategy Leads, and APEX Ops to deliver seamless campaigns.

Who we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you’ll have about 7+ years in the digital ecosystem, with proven success in media sales, senior account management or a related role with proven experience leading agency-facing initiatives. You are commercially driven and have a strong track record of hitting revenue targets and building pipeline. You’ll have a Strong digital knowledge and are a strategic thinker; comfortable interrogating media plans and adding APEX value.

This role works closely with agency staff at all levels, so it’s important that you are a confident communicator and can influence at all levels: from junior agency AMs to senior stakeholders internally and externally.

Hands-on experience with Salesforce, DV360, The Trade Desk, Yahoo, Epsilon or social platforms is a plus.
