Partnering with families, DCJ and Corrections, we help create pathways to stability, healing and stronger connections, promoting safety, wellbeing and positive long-term outcomes for those who need it most.

suitable candidate must have access to their own vehicle that is fully registered and comprehensively insured, as travel across multiple Southwest Sydney locations will be required. These locations include Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Liverpool, Bankstown and Camden

In this role, you will:
  • Provide face-to-face, trauma-informed support to vulnerable young people and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Support parents to strengthen parenting skills, promote family preservation, and assist with reunification after children have been in DCJ care
  • Build trusted mentoring relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance
  • Facilitate safe and supportive family time visits between children and parents
  • Implement individualised support plans and maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:
  • A valid NSW Paid Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Consent to be added to the Residential Care Workers Register
  • Minimum availability of 25 hours per week
  • Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver Licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
  • Experience supporting children, young people and/or families
  • Experience in related fields (e.g. disability, mental health, aged care, childcare) will be highly regarded
