Good place to work. Salary is really low though
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 16 February 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood place to work. Salary is really low though. Getting paid less then other retail places. Good if you’re a teenager not so much as an adult. A shame because it’s an enjoyable job

Not worth sacrificing your mental health for
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Birtinya QLD - 23 May 2022
Poor quality products, dishonest practices, over complicated and ineffective IT systems, high staff turnover, bullying from management, and no work life balance.

There are better places that pay more
General Assistant (Former Employee) - Newcastle NSW - 6 January 2022
Very low pay grade for the workload that is expected of you. You'd earn more at Coles or any other retail position. Very heavy work, manual handling of up to 80kg boxes on your own, many of the products are heavy and dirty. Staff levels are intentionally low to save the company money. Weekend shifts, public holidays are expected and if you don’t comply you get terminated. Very high turnover of staff. Internal processes are complicated, inefficient, and prone to error, increasing workload and stress. They make the job sound attractive but honestly take the time to find somewhere else, you will regret working here for such low pay and poor conditions.
Pros
Can't think of any
Cons
Casual employment. They terminate regularly for any reason.

Treat you unfairly
Call Centre (Former Employee) - Australia - 6 February 2021
They Treat workers unfairly by Paying below average and Staff don’t get lunch breaks. You are expected to work public holidays when you shouldn’t have too and you aren’t paid for it. They also do not pay overtime

Fun workplace with attention to the employees welfare
Talent Acquisition & Benefits Specialist (Current Employee) - Canberra ACT - 14 December 2020
A place to learn and grow, they pay a lot of attention to employees reward and recognition, welfare and career growth. There are challenges like any place else, but the HR and Mgmt team provide a lot of support during these challenging times. The company provides a generous staff discount, and they are developing themselves frequently, listens to staff suggestions & recommendation and try their best to achieve it within reasonable measures. If you are a loyal hard worker you will rewarded for sure.
Pros
Career Development
Cons
very busy during peak retail times

Watchout you will get screwed !!!!
Storeman (Former Employee) - Bibra Lake Dc WA - 28 September 2020
They get you in with promises of over time, public holiday work with good penalty rates etc, when it comes down to it they will let you go on those days and insist that you start early for the next few days to make up for the back log at the normal rate (not the penalty rate, you will never ever see the $38 an hour so put that right out of your mind ). They will tell you that you will be employed as a permanent part time team member complete with an iron clad contract which you have to sign before commencing employment, this is a ruse, what actually happens is you are just a casual employee that is payed at the lower permanent rate. You will be at there beck and call. They will send you home with just an hours notice. They will call you an hour before you are due to start work in the morning to tell you not to come in and offer no apology for the inconvenience this causes you. I had many a long weekend ruined because I was expected to work only to be let down at the last minute. This was obviously done so they didn't have to pay overtime. I could had made plans for a short break/holiday if they had the courtesy to let me know in advance but thats not the way they roll at 4WD Supercentre. APPLY FOR THIS JOB AT YOUR PERIL!!!!!!!!

Great company- Job Security is questionable, no matter what position.
E-Commerce and Marketing Co-Ordinator (Former Employee) - Silverwater, NSW 2128 - 6 April 2014
Great company- Job Security is questionable, no matter what position.
I got a guarantee on my job if I took a move into managing the eBay division and got personal guarantee on my employment from the owner only to be made redundant 3 months later despite a growth of 30% per week in revenue.
Pros
Big $ opportunities
Cons
Low job security.
