It was a great company to work for
Director (Former Employee) - North West London, Greater London - 9 June 2020
I decided to move on due to change of CEO at the time. There was no real direction of where the company was going and the mood/atmosphere was not good either, however in hindsight I should have sat it out because he did not last that long..!

Yard Operative (Current Employee) - Croydon, Greater London - 5 June 2020
I started work at 9 am.
Started with tidying the yard, Put the thing back where there belong after grading. And getting a load ready for tomorrow. It took a long time to get the load read, about 2.5hours. so with that my day is finished. at 7 pm.

Excellent company
Service Manager (Current Employee) - Croydon, Greater London - 19 May 2020
Aplant is a brilliant company to work for and has a lot of knowledge within various depots you can lean on if you don't know something. I have spent 11 years in this company, and every day has been a new experience. They like honest, hard working go getters, and with the right attitude you will go really far.

Decent to work for
HGV Driver (Current Employee) - Bellshill, North Lanarkshire - 30 April 2020
First thing is make sure you agree the wages you want before you start as there are plenty who moan after they start about wages. Work wise they are decent with a low tolerance for unsafe behaviour, like everywhere there are always people who aren't happy but its what you make it
Pros
Decent work/home life balance
Cons
There are some muppets

Avoid at all costs
Traffic Management Operative (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 9 March 2020
The pay is terrible for the amount of hours you work management and foreman have their favourites both of them treat you like dirt PPE is poor they provide you with the cheapest PPE and it is difficult getting what you need no facilities for you to clean your hands in the toilet you have to go to the canteen to wash your hands you have to provide your own tea and coffee milk they don’t provide ongoing training for development You get your basic SLG Street Works card

Blame culture where on senior leadership are looked after
Asbestos manager (Former Employee) - Warrington, Cheshire - 1 March 2020
Horrible place to work. Blame culture where only senior leadership is looked after. Workload is too high for salary and no support is given. I'd avoid Aplant
