Good experience, but not my preferred work environment. The pay was average, and the work load went unacknowledged. Management were easy to work with, but lacked commitment to new staff, and made promises that they didn't intend on keeping.

Bed maker (Former Employee) - Akld - 17 July 2023

I was paid poorly for working at AH Beard in Auckland, NZ and thought I would work in branch in Melbourne because I had 11 yrs of skills and exp with the company. Was so disappointed that starting rate was $23 yet I could work casual night shift at KMart distribution centre for up to $31-$37. So here I am doing distribution with skills as a tape-edge sewer and bed maker. Wasted skills but not being paid enough unfortunately to pay my bills

Cons

Only one bonus for whole company in Akld, included warehouse workers, office staff and drivers.

Supportive of hard workers

Company is a good place to be if you have a positive attitude and put in the effort. Rewarded for hard work. Management used to be very good, but many changes in recent years have made it less desirable.

Good Environment and people to work with.

Good company to be a part of with good people, i have gained experience and skills from working there. The best part of the job is when your almost finished and you've completed all your work and assignments for that day and going home knowing that is a good feeling. I loved working there in the last two years but now i am seeking a new challenge somewhere else where i can develop my skills even further and gain experience there.

this company operates on the ideology of been there the longest get the highest position. instead of choosing keen happy hardworking intelligent people to fill there hire up positions.
