Work & Life Balance

Casual Worker in New South Wales
on 16 October 2020
Very Disorganised
I was told that there was plenty of work available in and around my area but they keep on giving me shift that are over an hours drive away from where I live or no shift for weeks or even months, no structure-no system. So, at the interview I did a questionnaire as to where and how far I was willing to travel, but that has fallen on deaf ears. Management keeps on changing and it’s always someone different to report too, to get shifts. Pay is incorrect most times but payroll resolves issues immediately. Communication is not great either, no one bothers to return calls, emails and/or messages. When you are sent to a rural assignment you have to have ESP and do the guess work. You won’t be given an itinerary upon accepting the assignment to plan whether you can take on other shifts the day before or after and you have to be a pain in the butt and constantly nag. Which isn’t a great trait to have but it leaves you no choice to get some answers. Was told to invest in steel cap shoes black only and black pants. Most staff wear jeans, jeggings, leggings, runners, pink or tan steel cap. It’s very disorganised. Basically, no care factor:-(
Forklift Driver in DHL

Dont work there if u r not pure 100% aussy
Female recruitment consultants are quite racist and blunger (mock around behavior hassling u) if u r from different country. They will give u fake job assignments to hassle u around losing your time money and energy. They got contracts with DHL where u dream of becoming permanent in 3-6 months cause AWF don't want u to go permanent as u know their 40-50% commission cut matters. DHL itself has got stuff to play with your head if u work there. ACTION WORKFORCE IS PROFESSIONAL ON HARRASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION ON VULNERABLE JOB SEEKERS. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY AND ENERGY THERE.

Worst Company
WORST COMPANY TO EVER WORK FOR! I would not recommend working for this company. They pay minimum wage and don’t help there employees in there time of need.

Great place that provides great work options to students who are looking for experience and casual work
Action workforce has done great for me, giving me flexible work options as a casual and provide great pay rates too. The other employees are also great fun to be around and talk to.
Merchandiser (Casual) in Sydney NSW

I wouldn't work for them again
Interviewed under the impression that the work was full time, it's not you'll get work but there will be weeks when there's no work at all. When finally rostered on the manager on duty blamed me for mistakes that others made. After about 3 months I'd had enough and resigned. Do not rate working here as a worthwhile career move for anyone.
