They pay your contracted hours fortnightly whether you have met your contract or not; so if you haven't worked your contracted hours that fortnight, it will put you in to minus hours and you will have to work them back over time. But obviously if you work more than your contracted hours you get paid for it, or you can ask to have your hours banked. Having them banked creates a safety net for you, because if you don't make your contract one week your banked hours will save you from going into minus.
